Unlike other games, it’s important to quickly repeat the “fall back” action to build up your medal stack. To save time, you should perform a “fall back” every time you accumulate 10 medals to build up the stack quickly, and then continue by accumulating 20 medals at a time to build the stack further. Unlike similar games, it is not possible to proceed by gaining a stack of 10 medals at first, then 20, then 40, and so on.

Thanks, that’s a really sharp read of the medal curve – you’re right that short, repeated fall-backs beat one long run right now, and that’s not how I want prestige to feel. I’m looking at how medals scale with your best threat level; the goal is for longer runs to pay off more. I’ll mention it in a devlog when it changes.

it should have a way to speed things up, after you restart you've seen it all and want to speed things up to catch up.. its too slow..

Thanks for the idea – 0.1.10 adds a x1 / x2 / x3 speed button next to Back, so restarts go much faster: The Last Line 0.1.10: see the shop, speed it up. Let me know if the early part still drags after a prestige.

The ability to scroll would be nice because the way it is set up right now, I was wholly unaware I could buy upgrades and riflemen.

Yeah, it's more obvious in the full-screen version; I'll think about how to fix it here.

I was in full screen but I still couldn't see the upgrades. Also, the riflemen are too powerful to the point that the game becomes too trivialised.

Thanks for sticking with it – in 0.1.10 the shop sits in a column next to the field, so you can see defenders and upgrades without scrolling or full screen: The Last Line 0.1.10: see the shop, speed it up. On the riflemen being too strong: noted, I'm checking how armies are built at later threat levels before touching the balance.

The issue is that the soldiers fire like two bullets at the same time, the machine gun teams fire five or six bullet streams at the same time which is why I say that they are too strong.
